Mentally Exhausted
My thoughts at 3pm whilst fully immersed in the afternoon slump
Can we talk about what mental exhaustion can do for quality?
Nothing. It can do nothing. For example - hypothetically - if I do big brain efficient work for a whole morning, its 99.9% likely that I will not be able to produce that same quality in the afternoon and even worse, not have any energy for any social or leisure time.
So how can we (I) extend that period of time where I do have energy. Is it possible? And if it isn't, is it the context that has to change?
End note: Apparently, this afternoon exhaustion is mostly to with the human circadian rhythm which creates a natural lag in energy in the mid afternoon and we should just all be having a nap between 2 and 3 because we are running on low and not at our most efficient.
BUT eating good nutritious food can help you get through the slump with more efficiency and since I was hardlining mnms yesterday (when I started this blog) I can't really talk.
I don't know how reliable my source is but here it is: https://www.calm.com/blog/afternoon-slump#:~:text=The%20afternoon%20energy%20crash%20is,day%20can%20affect%20your%20energy.
